Excellence in violin and viola performance
Strings Avenue offers outstanding violin and viola instruction to those musicians in the Washington DC Metropolitan area who are interested in becoming the best musicians they can be. Jorge Orozco and Maria Montano have created a dynamic community of high achieving musicians and families in which each student can draw their own musical story. Whether it is recital performance, recording, immersion into string competitions, or participating in highly competitive youth orchestras and All-State Orchestra, Strings Avenue violinists and violists have all the tools and resources needed to succeed.
Former students of Mr. Orozco and Dr. Montano have continued their musical journey through college and have received acceptance into prestigious music programs at institutions such as Juilliard School, Rice University, Indiana University, North Texas University, and Paris Conservatory. Other students continue their musical journey while majoring in fields other than music. Many of these alumnae who have taken the academic route, have also gotten into top tier school such as MIT, Princeton University, and Yale University.
Strings Avenue is proud to have helped these students experience first-hand the value of discipline, commitment, time management, and the power of delayed gratification. All of these values are nurtured while helping students develop an ever-growing love for music.
